The Alden children save an old woman's house, land, and all the animals in her animal shelter from greedy contractors.

While helping fix up the old house their cousins have bought, the Aldens hear stories about its being haunted and find evidence suggesting that there may be a ghost there.

The Aldens investigate when the new coach of their community basketball league has her Most Valuable Player trophy stolen.

A family starts out on a one-day mountain climbing excursion that becomes very exciting. In fact, it becomes an adventure for the former "boxcar" family. They unearth some mysteries and have a fine time in the process.

A hip new doughnut shop known for its bizarre recipes is opening up in Greenfield. At first, the owners of the other doughnut shop in town, Delilah's, aren't worried. But, when the new shop starts making doughnuts that look just like some of Delilah's greatest hits, the Boxcar Children must figure out if it's just a coincidence or if someone, from the new shop is stealing Delilah's recipes.
