Description
Documentary. Shows how veteran elementary teacher Claire Oglesby addresses issues of respect, diversity and community-building in her first and second grade classroom at the public school in Westminster West, Vermont. Each year, the whole school carries out an integrated, in-depth study of another culture which lasts for the entire second half of the school year, involving students, parents and community members. This year the focus is on the study of India.
